Spires of vivid, blue-lavender flowers with white centers bloom on strong stems in late spring to summer. Delphiniums are the stars of the early summer border. Plants form a low mound of deeply-cut green leaves, bearing tall spikes of satiny flowers. The combination of blue flowers and strong stems are fabulous in flower arrangements. Plant in the back of the garden and stake if not protected from the wind for best results.
