Monstrous! Massive! Enormous, dome-shaped mound of blue-green, corrugated, heart-shaped leaves. with a blue hue in the springtime. It can take several years to grow to its fullest, but it’s so worth it!  White flowers appear in late spring. At the 2006 AHS convention auction a single plant of Humpback Whale sold for $3,700! Hostas are exceedingly popular perennials in today’s gardens due to their versatility in the landscape. Their subtle colors, tall flower scapes, and broad, coarse leaves fill a niche in garden designs that few other plants can achieve.
