Lupines in bloom are stunning! They prefer a deep, rich soil. Russell Red features bold spikes of brick red pea-like flowers rising above the foliage from late spring to early summer. The flowers are excellent for cutting. Its palmate leaves remain emerald green in color throughout the season. As these are biennial or short-lived perennials, allow some plants to set seed for future generations, or trim back hard after flowering is over. Flower spikes are great for cutting.
