In this role, you will work closely with our receiving lead to unload delivery trucks, rearrange product, unpack products ranging from plants to furniture, check items for quality, and help distribute inventory across the facility. - Quality & Unpacking:Â Carefully unpack shipments, unwrap pallets, and help inspect plants for health, hydration, and transport damage.
- Pricing & Tagging:Â Apply price tags, barcodes, and retail signage to hard goods and plants before they go out to the sales floor.
- Distribution:Â Move accepted inventory to the correct retail departments using carts, wheelbarrows, and pallet jacks.
- Immediate Plant Care:Â Give incoming plants a quick water or cleanup if they arrived dry or stressed from transit.
- Keep It Clean:Â Keep the loading dock, receiving bins, and walkways clear of debris, empty pallets, and plastic wrap to maintain a safe workspace.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- A Curious Mindset:Â You naturally ask questions when something is unclear, love learning about new inventory, and have an eye for catching discrepancies.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus:Â Ability to speak and understand both English and Spanish is highly valued to help communicate with a diverse team and delivery drivers.
- Physical Stamina:Â Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete or gravel, and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Weather Hardy:Â Comfortable working outdoors or in open-air covered spaces across changing seasonal weather.
- Team Player:Â Strong communication skills and a positive attitude while working closely with a supervisor and other departments.
- Attention to Detail:Â Ability to accurately match plant tags or retail labels to packing sheets.
- Forklift/Pallet Jack:Â Experience is a plus, but we are happy to train you on how to safely use pallet jacks and carts.
- No deep plant knowledge required—we will teach you what to look for!

- Weekend Availability: Weekend shifts are required for this position. You must be available to work Saturdays and/or Sundays to help handle our busiest delivery and inventory windows.
- Flexible Hours: Open to both Part-Time and Full-Time Shift availability and total hours can be structured based on candidate fit and store needs.
- Seasonal Peak Fluctuation: As a seasonal retail business, overall work hours vary throughout the year. Peak shipping seasons (such as spring and late fall) bring higher volume and longer hours, while off-peak periods see lighter, reduced schedules.

- Schedule:Â Part time/Full Time (Seasonal peak hours)
- Pay Range:Â $17.13/hour
- Perks: Employee discount, an active and beautiful outdoor work environment, and on-the-job training.
