Orange California Poppy
The state flower of California, this drought-tolerant heirloom has bright, golden-orange flowers above lacy green foliage that was once a common sight on California hillsides. Great for hot and dry areas, like our own Tri-Cities, the fluted blooms will cover the plant from March to May. Best planted in drifts, these are wonderful in a rock garden or yes, a hillside.
