Pesto Perpetuo Basil

Pesto Perpetuo basil, also known as variegated basil, is a sterile, annual herb that can grow up to 2 feet tall and has aromatic, lime green leaves with white edges. It's a columnar basil that doesn't flower or produce seeds, and has a less supple texture than other basils. It's resistant to insects and diseases, and is considered a superb culinary plant with a traditional basil taste and a hint of lemon. It can be used in Italian cuisine, salads, and sandwiches.
